The session will unfold in three parts:
1. The Secret Ingredient | The SF4C Triple Approach & Results What does it actually take to change what children eat at school? Leading experts from the SchoolFood4Change network, joined by practice partners from three European cities, will pull back the curtain on the Triple Approach, unpacking real results across the Whole School Food Approach, Planetary Health Diets and Cooking, and Sustainable Public Food Procurement.
2. Leading the Change | Political Insights from Frontrunner Cities Change doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It happens in city halls, school canteens, and procurement offices. In this dynamic roundtable, policymakers from six European municipalities get candid about the hard lessons, bold decisions, and breakthroughs that are reshaping school food across the continent.
3. A Global Blueprint | Scaling School Food for Planetary Health and Social Equity Local action, global impact. This closing session zooms out to ask the big question: how do we turn promising pilots into lasting policy? With MEP Cristina Guarda and representatives from the European Commission’s DG EMPL at the table, we’ll explore how school meal reform connects to international sustainability goals and what it will take to make healthy, equitable school food the norm, not the exception.
