About The triple approach
The Triple Approach: A Recipe for Lasting Change
Across Europe, one in three children is overweight, small farms are disappearing, and our connection to food is weakening. Real change starts where lifelong habits are formed: in schools.
The SchoolFood4Change Triple Approach supports cities and schools in transforming food systems by focusing on three pillars. These include innovative procurement that prioritises sustainability, planetary health diets brought to life through skilled cooking, and a Whole School Food Approach that connects classrooms, kitchens and communities.
Together, these three pillars are already improving the health, skills and food awareness of over one million children across Europe.
Watch the video to discover how the Triple Approach works in practice, and why scaling it up is essential for healthier children, stronger local food systems and a more sustainable future.
