SchoolFood4Change General Assembly in Lyon on 4-6 June 2025
The 4th General Assembly meeting of the SchoolFood4Change project will be hosted in-person in the vibrant City of Lyon, France, one of our inspiring partner cities, and will take place between the dates June 4–6 2025 during this year Lyon´s Food Week!
The participants will enjoy the city’s rich culinary heritage and inspiring atmosphere as we continue our journey of change.
Nearly 80 participants from across Europe, Africa, Oceania, the USA, and Latin America — including city officials, Mayors, school food professionals, and changemakers — will gather for three days of intensive exchange, collaboration, and celebration. The General Assembly will be a key moment for the consortium to reflect on progress, share best practices and strengthen the partnerships that have always driven our shared mission: transforming school food systems to become healthier, more sustainable and local.
A special highlight: During the GA the City of Lyon will present its ‘Call to Action for a Healthy and Sustainable Food Future’.
This joint declaration, to be signed by mayors and city representatives from Europe and beyond, urges cities to “support sustainable, fair, and ecological food systems that create social bonds and respect local territories and producers.” The Call places food education, public procurement, and social inclusion at the heart of policy for a resilient food future.
The programme will include interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, and collaborative activities designed to highlight best practices and success stories, as well as cultivate long-term impact that will extend beyond the project’s lifetime.
