Digital book release and panel debate
Welcome to the digital book release of “Serving the Public – The good food revolution in schools, hospitals and prisons” (Manchester University Press, 2025) and a panel debate with experts from Malmö and Europe, where they share their experiences of implementing sustainable food in the public sector.
Professor Kevin Morgan from Cardiff University has written a book with an international perspective on how public sector food can be more sustainable. Access to good food is an indicator of a society’s commitment to social justice and sustainable development.
With examples from the UK, the US and Sweden, “Serving the Public” highlights how public institutions can use purchasing power to ensure public health, social justice and ecological integrity. The book presents Malmö as one of the good examples.
