BIOFACH trade Fair always offers an exceptional opportunity to connect with global leaders, experts, and practitioners shaping sustainable food systems. This year, SchoolFood4Change is proud to host a special session at the StadtLandBio  Forum titled “Celebrating the Transformative Power of Tasty School Food: Good Practices from Europe and Asia.”

This session will highlight inspiring best practices from Europe and Asia, showcasing how school food can be a powerful driver of transformation. As a key highlight, we will celebrate the achievements of ten partner cities in the SchoolFood4Change project, awarding their innovative approaches to sustainable school meals. Participants will also enjoy a sustainable networking lunch, providing a chance to exchange ideas and foster meaningful connections.

The session will feature prominent speakers, including Gijs Schilthuis, Director of the Environmental Sustainability Unit, DG AGRI; Peter Schmidt, Member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC); Cornelia Trinkl, Head of the School Department in Nuremberg; and Wiebke Kottenkamp, Head of the National Quality Centre for School Meals. The discussions will be guided by Eduardo Cuoco, IFOAM EU Director, Laura Saques, IFOAM policy officer and Vivien Franck, ICLEI representative and Sustainable Food Systems expert.
