A new ace up the cities´ Sleeve to facilitate their procurement work

Green Spoon is an online tool designed to help cities, public authorities and school meal providers measure the environmental and health impact of school meals. Developed within the SchoolFood4Change project, it turns sustainability goals into practical insights that can support better food policies and procurement decisions.

Inside the tool, users can explore key data on greenhouse gas emissions, land use, food waste and nutritional quality. Green Spoon makes it easier to compare meal scenarios, understand the effects of food choices and support the transition towards healthier and more sustainable public food systems.
